Beneath the Sea
I really love the details in this from the different layers and paint strokes. Also the tiny bits of salt for texture.
Seamless Patterns
Class: Drawing Seamless Patterns in Procreate (Disclosure: I get a free month of Skillshare if you sign up with this link.)
My seamless pattern in five color variations featuring palm leaves and plumerias using the techniques taught in the class.
Here’s the project you can make in the class by following along the instructions step-by-step. It’s a hibiscus based pattern.
The class teaches how to make the seamless pattern and also how to use some more features of Procreate such as Hue, Saturation, Brightness, Color Balance, and Snapping and Magnetics.
Textured Citrus

This was probably my favorite project. It’s also the last project and I had a great time going through them all. Definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn Procreate. I also appreciated the tips on selling artwork online, like what canvas size to use to get a high quality print.
Hand Lettering
Class: Beginner Procreate class on Skillshare (use this link for 2 free weeks of Premium; I get one free month per sign up) by Cat Coquillette
I’ve done hand lettering with brush pens and paper in the past, so I was pretty excited for this lesson. So the lesson itself isn’t with a brush pen style paintbrush on Procreate, but I applied what I knew previously about brush lettering to this lesson. Basically making the downstrokes of the letters thicker and the upstrokes thinner as seen in the word “love” in my iterations below.
The text with the dark background feels more noticeable due to the higher contrast of the text colors and the background color. When I first tried this, I really liked it. It feels interesting.
