Definitely the most difficult project from the class for me. My favorite part of the painting is the upper left area of the bouquet with the light pinks and peaches that all blend together for the flowers.
Oranges

I ended up purchasing Every Tuesday’s full gouache botanicals class after completing the Skillshare introductory version. It includes more gouache styles aside from the flat style covered in the intro course. These oranges are an additional flat style project included in the full course.
I thought these turned out really lovely, especially with the shadows on the oranges. I believe this is the first time we included shadows in the course. If I was going to go back and redo When Life Gives You Lemons, I would definitely add shadows to the lemons. Prior to painting this, I just assumed seeds were also white colored. So super surprised when I was actually looking and paying attention, the seeds turned out to be green.

In my opinion the chunky style feels more realistic and less stylized than the flat style.
