Manicure Monday: Butter London High Tea with the Queen
Today I'm reviewing the nail polish High Tea with the Queen by Butter London. It is a high pigment, nude color with a hint of pink. Many store photos on the Internet show the color as darker and pinker than in real life. I feel the color is more similar to my picture below, with pink undertones. This is a great everyday nail color since the nude is clean and sleek. Perfect if you work at a more conservative office. The nail polish is opaque with a glossy finish. I used 2 coats of polish plus a top coat to achieve the coverage shown below.
Application of the polish can be a little tricky due to the higher viscosity, the formula is goopy and thick. The polish does not spread well, so the first coat left areas of thicker and thinner polish. Applying a second coat helps balance out the distribution of color leading to more even coverage.
Butter London's polishes are formulated without formaldehyde, toluene, or DBP. It dries at a speed comparable to other polishes and it easy to remove. The light color does not stain your nails.
So why do I love this nail polish? I found it lasts significantly longer than other polishes I've tried. I went a week with no chips! Amazing! I was very happy and pleasantly surprised. So I would definitely recommend High Tea with the Queen if you're looking for a versatile nude color to add to your collection.
