Lemons

This was the last project from the class. I enjoyed the little segments of the branch and how they can be different colors. Also appreciate it as an opportunity to pick up the pencil and make a different mark. I found I like the aesthetic of a very low contrast for the highlights and shading on the lemons themselves.

Blueberries

Perhaps I change my mind now and these blueberries are actually my favorite. I love the color of the bodies and then the contrast with the dark blue bits. Also, blueberries are delicious, so why not?

Purple Aster

The purple aster follow a similar technique to the primroses where the petals are all on the same layer. Takes a bit of thinking about which petal is under which other petal. I do love the purple color of the petals.

Primroses

The primroses used a bit of a different technique. Instead of making each petal on a different layer and stacking them, all the petals per color are on the same layer. There’s a bit of a border around each petal where it overlaps with another that is a pretty neat aspect of the brush.

Silver Dollar Eucalyptus

This one was a lot more complex than the rose branch due to all the overlapping layers. I think the complexity makes the eucalyptus more interesting. This was probably my favorite of the projects even though the color scheme is very simple.
